Pandu's Curse
- Pandu accidentally kills hermit
- the moment Pandu becomes intimate with a women he will die
- Kunti called upon gods and had children
Sons of Pandu
- Yama: god of truth and death
- gave her son who embodied virtue and patience, Yudhishthira "he who would keep calm even in the heat of battle"
- became mental rock his brothers relied on in times of turmoil
- Vayu dev: wind god
- strong and fast as wind itself

- Kunti didn't want any more sons

One Hundred Sons

- Duryodhana hated Bhima because Bhishma liked him best
- Duryodhana drugged the Pandavas and pushed Bhima into the lake
The Magic Potion
- Bhima got bitten by snakes
- son of Vayu broke the ropes and fought off the snakes and killed them all
- he found himself in Naag Lok, home of the most powerful serpents
- Vasuki snake king was related to Bhima and gave him a potion to be a hero with thousand elephant strength
- he also gave Bhima the realization that he had to grow up and fight for his brothers
Drona
- destiny brought a brahmin, Drona to train them as warriors
Drona Trains the Pandavas
- Drona said Yudhishthira was an excellent charioteer
- Nakul and Sahadev became talented swordsmen
- Bhima was the strongest, so his weapon was the mace. As a child he could overpower even strong adults
- Arjuna was the perfect warrior. could use all weapons. chose archery because it requires discipline of mind
- Drona wanted vengeance on Paanchal kingdom
Ekalavya's Story
- Arjuna wanted to be the world's greatest archer, but the skilled archer was Ekalavya, a nashard boy who was merely a hunter
- Ekalavya's thirst for knowledge defeated Drona. He was biased and ended the possible legend of Ekalavya.
